Our strength is our tremendous sense of team spirit, where each individual is valued for the part they play in making Somerleyton Primary School a welcoming, safe environment. Celebrating and valuing each other enables our pupils to learn to be independent and develop their abilities to the full.

The school staff are strongly committed to each child, providing for, and supporting each individual throughout their education. The learning ethos promoted is both challenging and motivational , enabling each child to be eager to succeed. We believe the children should leave our school, from Year 6, with confidence, demonstrating high level of skills in reading, writing and maths.

We also believe that parents have a very important role to play in the education of their children and we actively encourage close co-operation between home and school. We value and build on the experience and knowledge which pupils bring from their home lives, and we hope that you will share with us in making the children's time at Somerleyton School enjoyable and successful.
